Newburgh's Search For A Police Chief Continues

NEWBURGH, N.Y. – The City of Newburgh is continuing its quest to find a permanent chief of police, a position that has been vacant since 2015.

The city has the job posted on its website, but not just anybody can apply.

The right candidate has to either live within the city limits of Newburgh or have plans to move into the city within 90 days of appointment. The right candidate must also have an applicable four-year college degree, four years of experience in the field with at least two years as a second-line supervisor.
